IPA – Institute of Public Accountants
International professional membership for accountants, also linked with IFA and IFAC.
We are members of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), an international professional accounting body. IPA membership automatically confers membership of IFA (Institute of Financial Accountants), since the IPA Group previously merged with IFA, and through IPA we are also connected to IFAC (International Federation of Accountants), the worldwide umbrella organisation for the accounting profession.
What is IPA?
The Institute of Public Accountants is one of the leading professional bodies for accountants, with international reach. It brings together accounting professionals who meet education, practice and ethical requirements, and provides ongoing professional development.
Connection to IFA and IFAC
The IPA Group merged with the Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) — IPA members are therefore also IFA members and may use the AFA (Associate Financial Accountant) designation. Through IPA, our membership is also connected to IFAC (International Federation of Accountants), the global organisation representing accounting professional bodies worldwide.
Why it matters to clients
- professional standards for accounting work, backed by IPA, IFA and IFAC
- continuing professional development (CPD) requirements
- a code of ethics protecting client interests
- a broader international professional framework for our accounting practice
For clients, this membership is not a marketing label. It reflects the education, practice and ethical requirements our partner meets as MIPA (Member of IPA) and AFA (Associate Financial Accountant, an IFA designation).
